We collect used batteries with Šmudlo

151 new kindergartens and primary schools joined the project. Almost 11,000 children met Šmudlo, who spent 660 hours with them. He showed them how to dispose of waste properly and where used toy batteries belong.

WEEE – Impact 7

Another 20 primary and secondary schools from all over Slovakia took part in the project. As part of peer education, school teams taught about the issue of e-waste and its impact on the environment. The topic was taught in 33 different subjects and through activities such as theatre, carnival, quizzes, and an escape game.

Balls for WEEE

The aim of the project is to teach young people how to manage e-waste properly. The project involved 173 schools and educational institutions, which handed over almost 100 tonnes of e-waste. Newly participating schools have received a series of audio recordings, "Do not throw everything in one bag!", which will teach them how to prevent waste and how to deal with it when it does arise.

Clean up your waste

A series of information and education leaflets for households in the contracting municipalities. Useful tips for residents on how to prevent waste, how and why it is important to separate waste. In 2023, we mailed more than 162 leaflets.

International Film Festival Ecotopfilm

SEWA is a partner of the festival for the city of Partizánske. During the festival, the general public will get suggestions and tips on how to be environmentally friendly.

Another 20 primary and secondary schools took part in the 6th year of peer education on the "secret" life of e-waste, in September 2022.

We collect used batteries with Šmudlo

In 2022, kindergartens and primary schools from the city of Prešov and from the city of Partizánske and the surrounding area were added to the project. Eco-education took place in over 440 kindergartens and primary schools. During the year, children collected almost 25 tonnes of used batteries.

Balls for WEEE

This year, nearly 140 schools and educational institutions handed over 84 tonnes of e-waste. For the collected electro they received a variety of sports equipment along with an educational series of audiovisual recordings "Do not throw everything into one bag!".

We bring useful hints and tips on the proper management of household waste to the general public, including through social media.

Balls for WEEE

In the course of 2021, 133 schools and educational institutions cleaned their school premises, collecting a total of 96 tonnes of e-waste. The schools received rewards in the form of sports equipment and a Green Certificate, which confirms their environmentally friendly approach to e-waste.

We collect used batteries with Šmudlo

During the year, kindergarteners were educated about the proper sorting of household waste. They learned where they must dispose of old batteries from their toys. In addition, they diligently collected used batteries, for which they received rewards. As many as 336 kindergartens and primary schools collected a total of 16 tonnes of used batteries.

WEEE - Impact

A project for primary and secondary schools, where pupils and students, through peer education, learn new information about the life cycle of e-waste. In 2021, 6,440 pupils and students were involved in education through the project.

e-Deratization

We also collected e-waste and used batteries from companies and institutions throughout Slovakia. We collected 887 tonnes of e-waste from 1,204 organisations.

Environmental education in municipalities

During the year, more than 68,000 inhabitants of our contracted municipalities received useful information and tips in leaflets how to prevent waste and how to sort household waste correctly.

to the project in 2020 involved 94 schools, which collected almost 54 tons of electrical waste. All participating schools received a reward in the form of various sports equipment and also a Green Certificate with a logo, which they can place on their website and thus declare their positive approach to the environment.

Zbierame použité batérie so Šmudlom 4

an eco-educational project implemented in cooperation with the Institute of Applied Ecology DAPHNE, intended for kindergarteners from selected regions and cities. Together with the messy Smurf, the children solve the mystery of the polluted forest, while learning how to properly dispose of waste. The project is primarily dedicated to used batteries, which children collect in special boxes called B-boxes. From 2017 to December 2020, almost 13 thousand children took part in eco-education and we taught 739 hours.

ElektroOdpad-Dopad 2019/2020

15 primary and secondary schools participated in the third year, which ended the project with interesting projects. 58 schools continue to collect e-waste with us, having collected 34 tons of e-waste by the end of 2020.

It contains 7 separate recordings from which the listeners will learn how to properly dispose of electrical waste, used batteries and waste made of plastics, paper, glass and metals.

e-Deratizácia 2020

642 companies and institutions participated in the free collection of electrical waste and used portable batteries, which handed over 764 tons of electrical waste to us. In March, all companies will receive a Green certificate and logo, which they can place on their websites.

MFF Ekotopfilm-Envirofilm 2020

an international film festival focusing on environmental protection and sustainability was held in 2020 through online broadcasting. SEWA was the main partner of the festival in Partizánske. In addition, we participate in the education of children and youth within the Junior festival.

in the course of 2019, we published two informative announcements on twenty local radios every quarter, the aim of which was to educate citizens in the field of proper waste management.

From its inception until the end of December 2019, 524 schools participated in the project, to which we sent almost 1,700 pieces of various sports equipment. As part of the project, schools and educational institutions collected more than 326 tons of electrical waste.

ElektroOdpad-Dopad 2019/2020

the third year of peer education at selected primary and secondary schools, implemented in cooperation with the non-profit organization Živica. The goal of the project is to bring pupils and students interesting information about electrical devices, from their production to recycling. The task of 15 school teams, consisting of pupils and teachers, is to educate the community in the area of responsible behavior in the area of consumption of electrical equipment. The project also includes the publication of a methodological manual for kindergarten, primary and secondary school teachers, which was published in December 2019. SEWA, a.s. was the educational partner of the 1st edition of the festival in the field of ecological waste management. Through prepared activities and games, the lecturer tested the participants in the field of proper management of municipal waste.
