Manufacturer of electrical equipment
is any natural person – entrepreneur or legal entity, who, regardless of the sales techniques used, including mail order and internet sales
a) has its registered office or place of business in the territory of the Slovak Republic and manufactures electrical equipment under its own name or trademark, or has electrical equipment designed or manufactured for itself, and markets them under its own name or trademark,
b) has its registered office or place of business in the territory of the Slovak Republic and in the territory of the Slovak Republic resells electrical equipment manufactured by other suppliers under its name or trademark; a seller who resells is not considered a manufacturer if the electrical equipment has the manufacturer’s mark according to letter a),
c) has its seat or place of business on the territory of the Slovak Republic and, as part of its business activity, markets electrical equipment from another member state or from a non-member state on the market of the Slovak Republic,
d) sells electrical equipment on the territory of the Slovak Republic by means of long-distance communication directly to households or other users and has its registered office or place of business in another member state or in a country other than a member state (hereinafter referred to as “foreign manufacturer of electrical equipment”),
e) has its registered office or place of business in the territory of the Slovak Republic and, as part of its business activity, on the basis of a distance contract, sells electrical equipment directly to a user in another member state (hereinafter referred to as “remote electrical equipment manufacturer”).
